Australia's 2024 ban on engineered stone containing crystalline silica changed what can be fabricated and installed here. Silica free engineered surfaces were developed in response: the same consistency, hardness and low maintenance that made engineered stone popular, without the silica content that caused the problem. Our full engineered range is supplied as a silica free product, and we will provide the manufacturer's documentation for any colour you are considering.
It answers the question natural stone cannot: how do I get this look without the maintenance?
Kitchen benchtops, islands and splashbacks; bathroom vanities and laundry tops; commercial counters and high-traffic surfaces. It is an indoor product — check the manufacturer's rating before using it in direct sun.
Engineered patterns repeat by design, so a large island can show repetition that natural stone never would. It is heat resistant but not heatproof — hot pans still belong on a trivet. And while it is far more forgiving than marble, it is not indestructible.

Engineered stone containing crystalline silica was prohibited from 2024. Silica free engineered surfaces fall outside that prohibition, which is why the category exists. Our engineered range is supplied as a silica free product and we can provide manufacturer documentation for each colour.
Traditional quartz surfaces are heavily silica-based, which is what led to the restrictions. Silica free products are engineered from alternative mineral compositions to achieve a comparable surface without that silica content.
No. It is non-porous. Warm soapy water or a non-abrasive spray is all it asks for. Avoid abrasive pads, oven cleaners and strong solvents.
